HIP hop R&B girl group, XG finally releases their highly anticipated second mini album, AWE, along with the powerful new music video for the lead track, Howling.
Nearly a year since their groundbreaking debut with New DNA, XG returns with a collection that centers around the theme of AWE, the intense mix of fear and curiosity experienced when encountering the unknown. With AWE, XG aims to inspire a sense of wonder, offering listeners a unique soundtrack for daily life.
The album includes eight tracks, featuring pre-released fan favorites, Something Ain't Right, IYKYK, and the collaborative remix Woke Up Remixx featuring renowned artists Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL, and Awich.
The lead track, Howling, combines upright bass with electrifying synths, creating an intense, distinctive sound that showcases XG's charisma and sophistication.
Through fierce howls reminiscent of a wolf pack, XG conveys themes of unity, resilience, and empowerment, rallying around the message That's How We Howl, a testament to their strength and ambition to rise despite challenges.
The accompanying Howling music video follows XG as they arrive as space travelers in a meticulously controlled, uniform city.
Gradually, they transform the environment into a natural, unrestrained world, symbolizing their intent to reshape conventional structures and create a space uniquely theirs.
Together, they embody the strength and unity of a wolf pack, echoing their mission to leave a lasting impact.
Following the release of AWE, XG’s influence continues to expand globally. Their first world tour, The First Howl, attracted approximately 120,000 fans across Asia and 50,000 in North America.
They now set their sights on Europe, beginning their UK & Europe tour on November 18 in Manchester, with stops in London, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
XG is a seven-member hiphop R&B girl group consisting of Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria Maya and Cocona. - 7KLIK
