The Chicken Rice Shop brings the flavours of Deepavali with the launch of it’s latest menu, Ayam Surria

AS Deepavali approaches, The Chicken Rice Shop (TCRS), is delighted to introduce the Ayam Surria menu, a special limited-time offering available across all TCRS outlets nationwide until 10 November 2024.

Inspired by the rich and vibrant flavours of Indian cuisine, this festive menu celebrates the Festival of Lights by blending TCRS’s beloved Malaysian chicken rice with a unique, flavourful twist.

The Ayam Surria menu combines traditional Malaysian chicken rice with the bold spices of Indian cuisine.

The dish features chicken marinated in aromatic spices such as turmeric, cumin, and coriander, fried to perfection, and paired with a tangy tomato chutney. The experience is completed with TCRS’s refreshing Berry Surr, a sweet, fruity drink to accompany the meal.

Available in three set options – Set Surr, Set Sangat Surr, and Set Terpalling Surr – this menu caters to small and large groups, making it perfect for gatherings of family and friends.

The larger sets come with a range of sides, including Nyonya Pai Tee, Penang Rojak, and Penang Famous Chicken Rolls, offering customers a truly festive spread.

Wong Kah Yong, Chief Executive Officer of TCRS Restaurants Sdn Bhd shared the brand’s dedication to continually offer fresh and exciting flavours.

“At TCRS, we strive to provide our customers with new dining experiences that celebrate Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage.

"The Ayam Surria menu reflects our ongoing mission to bring accessible, delicious meals to Malaysians while embracing the spirit of Deepavali with a fusion of Indian-inspired flavours,” he said.

TCRS has always been committed to serving Malaysians comforting meals that showcase the best of local and regional flavours.

While the brand has made a name for itself with its famous chicken rice, TCRS has long expanded beyond this classic dish, offering a variety of meals that cater to the diverse tastes and culinary preferences of Malaysians.

“We’ve always believed that food is more than just a meal – it’s a way of bringing people together. This Deepavali, we invite everyone to celebrate with us and enjoy the Ayam Surria menu – a delightful combination of Malaysian and Indian cuisine that honours the season’s spirit of togetherness and gratitude.

"At TCRS, we’re here to offer not just the dishes you love but new and exciting flavours to share with your loved ones,” concluded Kah Yong. - 7KLIK
