The series will follow Yoji Minamimaru, an absent-minded university student who discovers he has the seemingly useless power of being able to make a hole in anything.
Affectionately called Nanmaru by his friends, Minamimaru will suddenly find himself at the center of a potentially world-ending crisis with nothing but his useless power to help.
Land of Tanabata is directed by Yusuke Taki (Gun Girl Lady, In Love and Deep Water).
Speaking about the upcoming series, Hitoshi Iwaaki, the author of the original manga said:
“This adaptation feels very special to me. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they adapt all the artwork into amazing live-action visuals for audiences to enjoy!”
